My cartridge leaked. What do I do!?Updated 10 months ago
Don’t worry, we designed the quick-snap connector to handle most leaks. When a cartridge leaks, oil may coat the center contact of the quick-snap connector. To clean it, you will need:
A q-tip
Isopropyl alcohol (IPA)
Take the q-tip and saturate the cotton end with isopropyl alcohol. Gently place the tip into the cartridge port, guide it down to the contact, then carefully spin the q-tip between your pointer finger and thumb. Be mindful not to push too hard into the device, the q-tip only needs light pressure and the spinning motion to dissolve the oil remnants. Inspect the contact. If it looks clean, allow 5 minutes for the IPA to evaporate and then you will be back in action! If you continue having connection issues, please start a chat on the bottom right of your screen, or contact us at mode.co/contact.
